Roy 'R. E.' Foutz Jr.

Roy E, Foutz Jr. (R.E.), of Salem, VA passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012. Mr. Foutz was born February 9, 1931 in Roanoke, VA, son of the late Roy E. and Eunice Porterfield Foutz. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School and Virginia Tech. He served in the US Army and retired from Norfolk Southern. He was a member of Cave Spring Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mae Lee Foutz; two sons, Roy Foutz and wife Tracy, and Nelson Foutz; two grandchildren, Colin Foutz and Katie Foutz; sister-in-law, Muriel Radford; and nephew, Dr. Millard Radford. The family wishes to extend their deepest thanks and appreciation to the caring staff and caregivers at Salem Terrace. There will always be many cherished memories, and R.E. will be greatly missed. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11am Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Rick Elmore officiating. The Foutz family is being served by John M.
