Isabella Rosemary Winslow, 57, of Salem, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother and friend. Rosemary trained in the United Kingdom as a midwife. She followed her passion to bring life into this world as a Registered Nurse in labor and delivery at Lewis Gale Medical Center and Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was active in multiple organizations including Child Health Investment Partnership (CHIP) and Leadership Roanoke Valley. Rosemary enjoyed annual trips to the United Kingdom. She cherished her family and many wonderful friends. She was a longtime member of St. Pauls Episcopal church.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Jeffery Winslow; her parents, Eleanor and David Allen; her daughter, Leah Gillespie, and husband, Chad; her son, David Winslow; and her grandchildren, Jude and Hazel.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in the parish hall at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Salem.
A memorial service celebrating Rosemarys life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013, at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Salem.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Child Health Investment Partnership (CHIP) of Roanoke Valley or Good Samaritan Hospice.
