Rose Angeline Mastrocola Migliarese, of Salem, the heart of her large Italian family, passed away on July 17, 2012 after a life full of love and joy. Raised in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Rose was the eldest daughter of Gasper and Rose Mastrocola, In life, she was a kind, generous, caring mother, sister, daughter and friend, a great listener and problem-solver. To her children, she was a rock; she was honest and strict, her love unconditional. You could count on Mom to tell you the hard truth, but soften it with a slice of her delicious apple cake. She was strong in her Christian faith, an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Salem for over thirty years, where she was involved in the womens bible study and regularly volunteered at the local food bank. She loved to travel, and had traveled around the world in recent years. She enjoyed dancing and music with her husband of five years, Arnold John, and her many friends. She loved to laugh; her hearty laughter often rendered her unable to reach the punchline of her jokes. In death she joins her beloved husband of forty-four years, Ralph, and her eldest son, Ted. She is survived by her seven children: Gina, Greg, Jim, Tim, Rose Ann, Alyssa and Katy, her sons- and daughters-in-law, twenty-nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss their Granny Rose, who never missed a birthday and made sure each received a special card and gift each holiday. Though some would find this large family enough, Rose always opened her home and heart to friends and neighbors; many family friends knew her as Granny Rose or Aunt Rosie or just Mom Mig. There was always enough pasta and sauce for one more person at her table, and her wisdom and advice were always served with one of her pizzelles or a large portion of her latest culinary endeavor.
