Ronnie Lee Parker

Ronnie Lee Parker, 60, of Roanoke, VA passed away Monday, September 20, 2010. He was born May 21, 1950 in Lynchburg, VA son of William H. Parker and the late Estella Booth Parker. In addition to his mother he was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda; and step-mother, Ellen Boyd Parker. Mr. Parker was a retired painter and an Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Judy Wise Parker; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Mary Parker; sisters and brother-in-law, Donnie and Mike Marshall and Faye Sowers; two grandsons, Randall Parker and Billy Simmons; great-grandson, Caleb; mother-in-law, Sylvia Wise; sister-in-law, Janet and Eddie Henley; son-in-law, Jason and Kim Pauley; special pets, Abby, Molly, Ellie and Sandy; and a number of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and special friends. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Ottis L. Burgher officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 4 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Roanoke Valley SPCA.
