Ronnie D. Beckner Sr.

Ronnie Dale Beckner, Sr. 65, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012. He was the son of the late Vellie Houston Beckner and Mae Alice Friar Beckner. He was also preceded in death by a son, Shawn D. Simmons, and an infant daughter, Merry Lynda Beckner. Surviving are his sons, Ronnie D. Beckner, Jr. and Brent Jacob Houston Beckner; a daughter, Connie Sexton Bryant; grandchildren Magon, Dalton, Tayler, Kailey and Brayden; sisters, Linda Cruff, Donna Owen and Sandra St.Clair; brother, Kenneth Beckner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11AM, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Rev. Steve Parker will officiate.
