Ronald Douglas Entsminger, Sr., 78, of Salem, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 5, 2024, at his home. He was born on August 30, 1945, to the late Catherine Higgins and Glenn Entsminger in Rockbridge County, VA. Ronald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Everyone he met loved him. He was most recently employed with Correll Electric. He worked as an electrician for over fifty years. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Patricia West Trish Entsminger; children, Travis Entsminger, Jessica Velez, Ronald Spanky Entsminger, Jr., Nathan Entsminger, Dale Harris, and Pam Terry and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Hannah Winters, Drake Miller, Gia Velez, Julia Wooding, Alyssa Velez, Tanner Entsminger, Deveryn Velez, Damion Wooding, and Kingston Entsminger; sister, Delores St. Clair; brothers, Danny and Dicky Higgins; uncles, Doug and Milton; nephews, DJ. and Doug Gearhart; and a great-niece, Jordan Gearhart. Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, with a funeral service following at 7 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, VA. Friends may also visit with the family from 12 p.m. 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, with a funeral service following at 1 p.m. The interment will follow at the Central Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Alleghany County, VA.
