Roger Lee Cline

Roger Lee Cline, 82, of Salem, Va., and originally of Wythe County, Va., passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 20, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Cline and Stella Vaught Cline; and his brother, Paul Vernon Cline. He is survived by his brother, Arnold Cline; ex-wife, Mabel Yonce Cline; children, Debbie Huffman (Bill), Gene Horney (Lea), Michelle Bane, and Karen Taylor; several grandchildren including his grandson, Levi; as well as several nephews, nieces, and special friends. Roger retired from Yokohama after 27 years of service. He was an avid gardener, huge NASCAR fan, and enjoyed trips to the Outer Banks for fishing with friends. A period of visitation to celebrate his life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, Va. Family members and friends are encouraged to wear their favorite NASCAR driver t-shirt in honor of Roger and his love of racing.
