Robert Franklyn "Bob" Sample Jr.

Robert F. Bob Sample Jr., 77, of Moneta, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from his earthly home. Bob was born on February 24, 1946, in Washington D.C., the son of the late Robert F. Sr., and Dorothy Goggin Sample. He was a standing member of Parrish Chapel United Methodist Church, where numerous friendships were made. Bob is lovingly survived by his sister, Elizabeth Sample Betty Brown (Tom); nephews, Michael W. Mooney (Angie), Kevin R. Mooney, and Thomas F. Brown, IV (Paula); great nephews and nieces; numerous cousins, as well as special friends and caretakers, Rita and Arthur Bramlett and their daughter, Jenna Bramlett. The family wishes to thank Rita, Arthur, and Jenna Bramlett for the loving care and friendship given to Bob over the years when needed it most. A graveside service to honor Bobs life will be conducted on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at East Hill Cemetery, 730 East Main St., Salem, Va., with Pastor Tina Yates officiating.
