Robert L. Williams, 89, of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Hugh and Bessie Williams; and sister, Frances Obenshain.
His surviving family includes his wife, Rita Walters Williams; children, Randall B. Williams and wife, Bobbie, Jeffrey M. Williams, Katherine V. Shrewsbury and husband, Scott, Richard N. Viar and wife, Tina, and Teresa V. Sowers and husband, Chris; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Carter.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at both the Virginia Veterans Care Center and Good Samaritan Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. Visitation will be private.
