Robert Jacob Kelley

Robert Jacob Kelley, 83, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013. He was the owner of Kelleys Market in several areas including Newcastle, Salem, Roanoke, Troutville, Glasgow, and Watskys Mill. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and golf. Preceding him in death were his parents, Jesse and Mary Kelley; siblings, Edward Kelley, Odell Kelley, Randolph Kelley, William Kelley, and Margaret Eloise Kelley; and sister-in-law, Marylou Kelley. His surviving family includes his wife, Rebecca Altice Kelley; sons, Jerry Kelley and girlfriend, Patty Givan, Michael Kelley and wife, Kathy, and Jeff Kelley and wife, Shannon; daughter, Patricia Kelley Trail and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Ashley Kelley Karunaratne and husband, Nilan, Joseph Andrew Kelley, Megan Kathleen Trevett and husband, Joshua, Ben Kelley, Morgan Kelley, and Emily Kelley; great-grandchildren, Madison and Paige Karunaratne; brother, Lewis Kelley; sisters-in-law, Gloria Kelley, and Patsy Kelley.; and many nieces and nephews. A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the funeral homes chapel. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park with military funeral honors. The Rev.
