Robert Wayne Huffman

Robert Wayne Huffman, 55, of Bedford, and formerly of Botetourt County, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He was a dedicated employee at Blue Ridge Paving for 18 years. Family left to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Huffman; children, Michelle and Ronnie Yopp, Deborah and Mike Ayers, and Sharon Thompson and Doyle Guilliams; siblings, Doris and Jake Moran, Ricky Huffman, and Tony Huffman; grandchildren, Ashley Wilcher, Britney Ayers and Mic Simmons, Dustin and Kala Carroll, DJ and Felicia Thompson, Corey and April Ayers, Katie Yopp and BJ Belcher, Nicolas Thompson, Brooke Yopp, Austin Guilliams, and Chase Thompson; and 15 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2 until 4 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. Funeral services to honor Roberts life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Frank Broughman officiating. Interment will follow at Troutville Cemetery in Botetourt County. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Deborah Ayers, to help defray funeral expenses.
