Robert Edward Flurnoy

Robert Flurnoy, Sr., of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the age of 54. Robert was born on July 8, 1968, in Roanoke, Va. to Roger Flurnoy and the late Louise Wickline Flurnoy. Robert had a deep passion for NASCAR, drag racing, and Dale Earnhardt. He was gifted in carpentry and enjoyed building things with wood. It seemed like there was nothing he couldn't fix. In his free time, he enjoyed a good cup of coffee and the occasional smoking of a fresh marijuana cigarette. Robert is survived by his wife, Chasity Flurnoy; his children, Kayla and husband, Nick Spradlin and Robbie Flurnoy and fianc, Alana Thompson; his siblings, Sherri Flurnoy, John Flurnoy, and Kenny Flurnoy; his grandchild, Maddie Flurnoy; as well as his beloved dogs, Pete and Tye. A celebration of Robert's life will be conducted on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Roanoke Moose Lodge, 3233 Catawba Valley Dr., Salem, Va.
