Robert Charles 'Bobby' Dickson

Robert Bobby Dickson, 59, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles William and Ruby Carol Dickson; mother-in-law, Nellie Lockhart and father-in-law, Paul Lockhart; and numerous aunts and uncles. Robert was a member of Mountain Pass Baptist Church and an avid UVA fan. Family left to cherish his memory include his wife of 36 years, Sarah Jane Dickson; children, Shannon and Christopher; sister, Donna Dickson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Connie Buckland, Mike and Mary Otey, and Doug and Denise Lockhart; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; many other family members, friends and coworkers; and loving canine companion, Daphne. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Gentle Shepard Hospice for their loving care. A memorial service is being planned at Mountain Pass Baptist Church at a later date.
