Robert Joseph Davis

Robert Joseph (Bobby) Davis, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018, with his loving wife of 26 years, Donna B. Davis, by his side. Bobby was born in Radford, Va. After serving in the US Army, he entered trade work as an electrician. He loved animals, and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors in his spare time. Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert and Betsy Davis; and brothers, John Mario and Billy Wayne Davis. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his children, Michelle Dunbar and husband, Allen, Joshua DeLieto and wife, Samantha, and Colby Walters; grandchildren, Zachary, Bradley, Kelsey, Aribella, Gabriel, and Andi; sister, Carol Lee Duncan; mother-in-law, Arlene Reese; sisters-in-law, Anita Hiner and husband, Jim, Lucy Howard, and Susan Huff and husband, Marty; brother-in-law, Frank DeLieto and wife, Jean; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thanks to the caregivers and special friends at Salem Health & Rehab. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, in the funeral homes chapel with Pastor Mark Hopkins officiating.
