Richard (Ricky) David McDaniel, Jr., 58, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard McDaniel, Sr.; and mother, Bonnie Poff. Surviving him is his girlfriend, Deeann Laster; children, Richard Norris McDaniel and wife, Emily, Aaron McCarter, and Dakota McDaniel; siblings, Tracy McDaniel Price and husband, Troy, Robin Poff Nester and husband, Michael, Eddy Poff; and Kenny Quesenberry; 4 grandchildren; and special nephew, Dean Walker A period of visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. The funeral service will then begin at 3 p.m. with Pastor Roger Counts officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
