Richard Lewis 'Pete' Blackwell

Richard Lewis Pete Blackwell, 65, of Salem, entered peacefully into Heaven on Monday, January 8, 2018. Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Barnett Blackwell. He is survived by his son Phillip and his family; his siblings, Pat Blackwell and wife Sharon, Karita Knisely, Rebecca Humphrey and husband David, and an extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins. Pete spent many a day looking for treasures.and in the end received the most valuable of them all, Heaven. A graveside service with military honors will be held 2PM, Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Rd.Dublin, VA 24084.
