Rhonda Anne 'Nana' Rigney

Rhonda Anne Nana Rigney 49 of Rocky Mount, VA went to be with our Lord Saturday, February 28, 2015. Born January 7, 1966. She was so in love with the Lord and ready to reunite with her best friend, mother, Margaret J. Wiley. Although devastated and heartbroken we know that she is walking the streets of Gold. She leaves behind, her one true love, husband, Randy W. Rigney; her father, Rufus E. Flinchum; siblings, Eugene, Jacob and Tonia; children, Courtney and Colby Fitzgerald, Casey and Josh Kelly, Heidi and Lewis Rumley , Jeremy Roberts, Nakisha and Derrick Harper, Jennie Rigney, Joshua and LaQuisha Rigney, Randy and Tammy Cole; and 22 grandchildren. Her love for life extended beyond her children to everyone. She never met a stranger. Her smile and laughter are a memory to never fade. Rhondas life was a roller coaster of events but she learned to trust in Gods strength and not her own. Over the last 10 years she grew into a mature soldier for Christ. She was rich in love and desired to have everyone together. She was an amazing mother, devoted Nana which she extended beyond her own children. She was Mama Rhonda and Nana to everyone. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Brian Gordon officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home.Visitation
