Randy D. Kirby

Randy D. Kirby, 53, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012. He was born in Roanoke, a son of the late Charles Kirby and Emma Loving Kirby and had been an area resident all of his life. He was employed with Phillips & Jordan Contractors as a land surveyor and enjoyed working on old cars, hunting and fishing, but mostly spending his free time with family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Martha Radcliff Kirby, a daughter, Heather Kirby and a brother, Raymond Kirby. He is survived by his loving daughter, Megan Kirby and her fianc Edward Forbes; a brother, Glen Kirby and his wife Sheila; two sisters, Helen Carroll and Elsie Mitchell and her husband Jim, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
