Rachel Irene Lancaster

Rachel Irene Lancaster, 89, of Salem, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 at Richfield Retirement Center following a period of declining health. She was born February 14, 1921 in Floyd County, the daughter of the late Eratus and Essie Vest Sisson. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, serving in hospital, nursing home and private duty settings, and was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin L. Lancaster. She is survived by threes sons and their wives, Bobby Lancaster and his wife Janet; Ronnie Lancaster and his wife Donna; Jerry Lancaster and his wife Barbara; a brother, John Willie Sisson of MO; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11AM, Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Cedar Lawn Burial Park with the Rev. Roy Kanode officiating.
