Phillip Alfred Minnix

Phillip Alfred Minnix, 59, of Salem, Va., passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015, while he was an inpatient at the VA Medical Center in Salem. A private burial was held by the family at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. Phillip was a graduate of the University of Richmond and Glenver High School. Phillip was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Phillip was the youngest son of Roy W. and Evelyn K. Minnix, brother of Roy W. Minnix, Jr. and Stephen A. Minnix. A Memorial Service for Phillip will be held at 1 PM Saturday, September 12 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1887 Electric Road, Roanoke, Virginia. The Minnix family is being served by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home and Crematory.Service Information
