Peggy Ann Hunt

Peggy Ann Hunt, 86, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019. She was born in Canajoharie, NY, the daughter of the late Melvin and Martha Penn and had been an area resident since 1955. Peggy worked as a realtor with several different agencies for over 25 years, was her father's caretaker for many years, and enjoyed going to the beach, cruises and traveling by train through Europe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Franklin Hunt, who died in 1991. She is survived by three sons, Richard Hunt, Thomas Hunt and wife Terri, and David Hunt. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A period of visitation will be held beginning at 11AM, Saturday, January 26, 2019 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
