Pauline Old Beckner

Pauline (Polly) Old Beckner, 74, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank E. and Lorena Johnston Old; and sons, Stephan Beckner and Anthony (Tony) Beckner. Her surviving family includes her loving husband of 57 years, Jim Beckner; children, David Beckner, John Beckner, and Sheila Beckner; daughter-in-law, Brenda Beckner; sisters, Elinor Old and Jean Trent; grandchildren, Beth Cooker, Chris Beckner, Suzy Milliner, Joey Beckner, Andrew Beckner, and Billie Jo Cumbee; and great-grandson, Quenton Smith. A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the funeral homes chapel. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The Rev. Ivy Adams will officiate.
