Paul David Leffel, 65, of Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. He was a fantastic carpenter for over 40 years and loved to hunt, fish, and camp. He also enjoyed bowling, his show cars, and NASCAR in his spare time. Preceding him in death were his parents, Dexter Omer and Myrtle Widner Leffel; brothers, Donald and Raymond Leffel; aunt, Peggy Arnold; and his pet, Rocky. His surviving family includes his wife of 25 years, Sharon Leffel; sons, Jeremy Leffel and Daniel Leffel and wife, Emily; stepsons, Jim Hall and wife, Kelly, and Harold (Spanky) Goodwin and wife, Krista; sister, Edith Martin and husband, Jack; 5 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Layla Anderson; and his special dog, Snickers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2 p.m., also in the chapel. Rev. Ricardo Rodriguez will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauls name to the National Rifle Association at PO Box 420648 in Palm Coast, FL 32142-0648. An online guestbook is available at www.johnmoakey.com.
