Paul Alexander Golding, 36, of Salem, passed away due to the tragic accident on I-581 on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. He was born on March 11, 1977 in Mt. Airy, NC. He was a member of the Lakeland Masonic Lodge #190 and the Mt. Airy Scout Troop #538. Paul was a dedicated driver for R+L Carriers for 8 years. Paul enjoyed sports and the outdoors, and loved cooking out and sitting by his fire pit. Most of all, Paul treasured time with his son while they went mud bogging. Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Carpenter Golding. Family left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Nicole Hale Golding; son, Tyler Golding; father, Bobby Golding and his wife Michelle; sister, Melinda Creed and her husband Mickey; special aunt, Betty Cave; and many other family, friends, and coworkers. The family will receive friends on Friday, June14, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son funeral home in Salem. A memorial service and Masonic last rites will be conducted on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Doug Cockerhan officiating.
