Paul Arnold Faw, 80, of Salem, VA passed away Monday, January 7, 2013. He was born May 23, 1932 in McDowell County, WV a son of the late, Harley Walton Faw and Cora Mae Patrick Faw. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ella Mae VanHuss Faw; brothers, Glen, David, John, Henry and Gurney Faw; and a sister, Ola Jean VanHuss.
Mr. Faw was US Army Veteran having served in the Korean War and received two Bronze Stars. He retired from General Electric and was a member of Westside Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Eloise Murray Faw; three children, Michael C. Faw and wife, Terri, Kenneth Malcolm Faw and wife, Ginger and Deborah Ann St.Clair and Ted Church; nine grandchildren, Whitney, Valarie, Gary, Lauren, Elyshia, Adam, Sara, Christopher and Kayla; great-granddaughter, Michelle; special niece, Brenda Faw; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Faws name to the Fort Lewis Fire and Rescue Department. The family would like to thank the Fort Lewis Fire and Rescue for their dedicated compassionate service over the years they provided in caring for Mr. Faw. The Faw family is being served by John M.
