Patricia Lynn Barkheimer Hill

Patricia Lynn Barkheimer Hill, 52, of Roanoke County, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013. A beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend, Pat was born in Jacksonville, Florida and had been an area resident for most of her life. She was a long time employee of Valcom, Inc. and was an active member and team mom at Mason Cove Recreation Club. Her father, Robert L. Barkheimer, and a brother, Jeff Barkheimer, preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Barkheimer, her loving husband Richard Hill; son, Joshua Hill; a brother Gary Barkheimer and partner James Farmer; father-in-law, Buddy Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Pam Hill; uncles and aunts, Pat and Peggy Wilson, and Mike and Peggy Wilson; a special nephew, Jason Barkheimer; numerous other nieces and nephews and close friends. Pat will also be missed by her loving dog, Lacy, who never left her side. The family would like to take this opportunity to send a special thanks to all of her friends who stayed by her side through out her illness, Pat, we love you and you will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held at 3:30PM Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Pastor E. B. Shoemaker will officiate.
