Patricia Meegan 'Trish' Barnhart

Patricia (Trish) Meegan Barnhart, 76, of Salem, VA passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Trish was born on February 26, 1941 in Bristol, VA a daughter of the late Raymond J. and Effie M. Meegan. After many years of service Trish retired from Norfolk Southern Company. She will be remembered for her uniqueness in many ways: Wearing her collection of vintage clothing to accent the vintage cars from her husband Louis' antique car collection as they frequented car shows up and down the East Coast. She will also be remembered for her elaborate Christmas decor in their beautiful Victorian home. Trish is survived by her loving husband, Louis L. Barnhart; and a brother, Robert Meegan of Kansas City, KS. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. Interment will follow at East Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem.
