Pamela O. Turner, 63, of Salem, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Herman and Bernice Thomas Ogle; sisters, Athlyn Gail Robinson and Beverly Ellen Harvey; and brothers-in-law, Ronald David Worrell and Robert Mason Lilly. Her surviving family includes her husband, Roger Dale Turner of Salem; children, Sara Kristine Turner of Roanoke and Marc Alan Turner and wife, Megan, of Salem; grandson, Peyton Bently Turner; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Adams of Roanoke; siblings, Glenda Ogle Worrell of Peterstown, W. Va., Carol Ogle Lilly of Sun City, Fla., Joseph Herman Ogle, Jr. of Sun City, Fla., Gilmer (Tom) Thomas Ogle of Newport, N.C., Gene Nelson Ogle and wife, Katalin (Kathy) of Roanoke, and Marguerite Ogle Good and husband, William (Billy) of Pearisburg; brothers-in-law, Richard (Dick) Blackstone Robinson, Sr. of Branford, Conn. and Alvin Lee Harvey of Peterstown, W. Va.; and multiple nephews and nieces. The family expresses a sincere thanks to the UVA stem cell unit and cancer center for their loving care. A period of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015, also in the chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Gordon will officiate. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300 in Jacksonville, Fla. 32256 or to a cancer society of your choice.
