Pamela Sue Henson, 57, of Salem, Va., passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Born on Thursday, September 26, 1968, Pamela was truly one of a kind. She had a heart that knew no limits and a spirit that naturally cared for others. Her kindness and compassion touched everyone she met. She devoted much of her life to caring for others, including her years as a volunteer coordinator with Gentiva Hospice, where she brought comfort and support to countless families during their most difficult times.
Above all, Pamela loved her family. She was a proud and devoted mother to Brandon Howard and Chad Howard (wife, Chaney), and nothing in this world meant more to her than her granddaughter, Ida Howard, who was truly the light of her life. She is also survived by her loving fiancé, William Pickeral.
Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, William Henson Jr.; and her parents, Imogene Cunningham and Albert Howard.
Pamela will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering love, and the light she brought into the lives of others. Her presence was a gift, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Huffville Cemetery located at 1078 Huffville Road in Pilot, Va.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.
