Nona Huffman Putnam

Nona Huffman Putnam, 61, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2013. She was born in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Alfred M. Huffman and Frances Medley Huffman of Newport. Along with her father she was preceded in death by her husband Dennis O. Putnam; two brothers, Titus and Anthony Huffman, and her father-in-law, Lonnie B. Stokes. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Christy Luper and her husband Wes, Angelia Schaeffer and her husband Jeff; four grandchildren, Cheyenne Latimer and her fianc Danny Altice, Cody Luper, Savana Luper and Brayden Schaeffer; three brothers, Noel Huffman and his wife Kathy, Doyle Huffman and his wife Stephanie, and Daryl Huffman; a sister, Anita Huffman; her mother-in-law, Lula Stokes, and a sister-in-law, Deborah A. Stokes. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Monday, June 10, 2013 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem. Pastor Arley F. Miller. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Burial Park.
