Nancy Lee Ferguson

Nancy Lee Ferguson, 69, of Salem, VA lost her battle with cancer and entered into the gates of Heaven Tuesday, October 13, 2015 to be reunited with her son, Kevin Ferguson; granddaughter, Tiffany Lawhorn Allen; parents, Ermine and Edith Mullins; sisters, Bonnie Turpin and Kathy Mullins; father-in-law, Harold Wiekle; and brother-in-law, Sidney Ferguson. Nancy was blessed to be married to a wonderful loving husband Jerry W. Ferguson for 52 years who was her rock, soul mate, provider and best friend. She is also survived by her daughter, Carol Lawhorn and husband, Rodney; grandson, Drew Lawhorn and wife, Laurie; great-grandchildren, Michael Carter Lawhorn, Bryson Sanchez-Huerta and Rylee Allen; brother, Bill Mullins and wife, Mary Ann; sister, Teresa Spraker, and husband, Tony; mother-in-law, Clara Lucille Wiekle; brothers-in-law, Sammy Wiekle and wife, Tammy and Harold Wiekle, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Wiekle and Kay Ferguson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving in-laws whom she cherished. Nancy was very strong in her faith and belief in God. She adored and loved her family very much and cherished the moments spent together. She was a loyal employee of Damon Company of Salem for 27 years where she enjoyed working and built many friendships with people she considered family. Memorial services for Nancy will be conducted on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2 pm at the Chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Jesse Bass officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
