Nancy Russell Butcher

Nancy Butcher, of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2017, at the age of 88. Born and raised in Troy, New York, Nancy enjoyed an early career as an airline stewardess for Colonial Airlines. She moved to Salem in 1968 with her second husband, Tom Butcher, and her three daughters and resided there until 2010 when she moved to Massachusetts. Nancy leaves her daughters, Molly Manderfield of Maryland, and Suzy Fischer and Lauren Scheuer who live in Massachusetts. She also leaves four wonderful grandchildren, and many happy family memories. A period of visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. The funeral will then begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dwayne Westermann officiating.
