Mozelle Mo Horton Wampler, 84, of Salem, VA passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013. She was born January 10, 1929 in Dugspur, VA. She was also preceded in death a brother, Harold Horton and two sisters, Louise Grubb and Linnie Gwynn. Mrs. Wampler was the former owner of Amos Restaurant and Early Dawn Restaurant. She is survived by her two sons, Dennis Wampler and Bucky Wampler and wife, Sherry; grandson, Travis Wampler; granddaughter, Casey Wampler; brother-in-law, Johnny Grubb; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Angle officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem from 6 to 8 pm. The family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of the Valley for their loving and compassionate care given to Mo. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
