Mozelle Flinchum Graham

It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of the beautiful, loving, and strong, Mozelle Flinchum Graham. Mozelle passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, with her devoted son, Jason Graham, by her side. Mozelle was born in Beckley, W.Va., and after meeting her soulmate, Jim, they settled in Roanoke, Va. Jim and Mozelle raised five sons, worked hard, and enjoyed traveling together. Mozelle was a loyal employee of Belk for over 30 years. She loved her job and co-workers. In those years, she was equally adored by her colleagues and the community. Mozelle shared and cherished 52 years of marriage with James W. (Jim) Graham until his unexpected passing in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Clinton C. Flinchum and Elizabeth Flinchum; brothers; C.J., Noel, Leon, and Michael Flinchum; three sons, William M. (Bill) Graham, David W. Graham, and James B. (Brad) Graham; and grandson, Daniel A. Graham. Mozelle is survived by sons, Gregory Graham and wife, Leslie, Jason Graham and longtime girlfriend, Susan Fradette; daughter-in-law, Judith Graham; sisters-in-law, Lynn, Connie, and Jean Flinchum; as well as her nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of her grandsons, Clinton Graham and wife, Megan, Austin Graham, Lukas Graham and fiance, Joey Driscoll, Blake Graham, Jacob Graham, and Benjamin Fradette; grandmother of her granddaughters, Megan Williams and husband, John (Bubba), Elizabeth Gilliam and husband, Benjamin, Kasey Strickland and husband, Scott, Amanda Graham, Ashley Graham, Stephanie Lawrence and husband, Timothy, Lily Graham, and Lauren Fradette. Mozelle also loved and adored 17 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are welcome to visit from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, Va. Her funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, also in the chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
