Monica Harte Collier

Monica H. Collier, 66, of Salem, Va., and formerly of Winter Haven, Fla., and Evansville, Ind., passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024.

Among her many favorite pastimes were quilting, reading, gardening, and baking. She also loved her animals and especially her cats. She enjoyed a successful career in advertising and sales. Monica was a loving grandmother and mother who will surely be missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Oscar D. and Elizabeth "Betty" Doerr Harte; and sister, Rebecca Scheller.

Her surviving family includes her children, Zachary Collier (Kristen) and Simon Collier (Lizzy); grandson, Chadwick Collier; and siblings Pam Ozeki (Ron) and Toni Dziegiel.

Special thanks is extended to Good Samaritan Hospice for their excellent care of Monica.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. A committal service will immediately follow at St. Andrew's Diocesan Cemetery. Fr. Danny Cogut will officiate.
