Mitchell Harold 'Flathead' Crawford

Mitch Flathead Crawford, 57, of Botetourt County and formerly of Salem, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018. Mitch loved people, animals, and travel, and lived life to the fullest. In fact, if you knew him, then you loved him! His disability never got him down. He loved drag racing, and was a huge race care enthusiast. His surviving family includes his parents, Luther H. and Edna M. Crawford; sister, Lisa C. Engelke and husband, Karl; fiance, Vicki Treynor; mother-in-law-to-be, Lucille Palmer; brother-in-law-to-be, Tim Palmer; and feline companions, Sissy and Buddy. Family members and friends may gather to memorialize his life from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem.
