Millard Franklin "Buddy" Kendrick Jr.

Millard F. Kendrick (Buddy), 74, died Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in Salem Virginia. He was born on August 22, 1947, in Bedford, Virginia, to Millard and Eunice Kendrick Sr. Buddy loved the outdoors and was particularly fond of hunting, fishing, and camping with family. He also had a love for music and would sing and play the guitar for hours. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1966, until he was honorably discharged in 1969. Buddy worked as a Master Electrician and was known for his expertise in his field. Buddy is survived by his daughter, Tammy R. Kendrick of Salem, VA; granddaughter, Kala R. Saunders of Fincastle, VA; sisters, Peggy Ayers of Bedford, VA, Janice Scott of Roanoke, VA, and Betty Jo Dooley of Roanoke, VA; niece, Margaret Ayers of Forest, VA; nephews, Kelly Scott of Roanoke, VA, Troy Dooley of Roanoke, VA, and Jeffery Ayers of Bedford, VA; and great-grandchildren, Reece and Cooper Saunders of Fincastle, VA.
