Michelle Metheney Brennan

Michelle Metheney Brennan, 54, of Salem, Va., passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. She was born on June 11, 1968, in Ashtabula, Ohio. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in business / marketing, she worked as Program Director at Virginia Career Works. Her personal interests included cruising in her convertible with her husband and frenchie, Healey, working in the yard, and tending to her orchids. Preceding her in death were her father, Benjamin Hollie Metheny, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Benjamin Hollie Metheney, Sr. and Hilda Fitzgerald Zirkle; and maternal grandparents, Nelson L. Shepard and Edna L. Shepard. Her surviving family includes her mother, Kathleen Metheney; loving husband of 12 years, Sean Brennan; son, Bailey Aaron Neu and fiance, Jamie Michelle; grandson, Felix Neu; sister, Laurie Parks Gussow and husband, Mike; brother, Michael Nelson Metheney and fiance, Shannon; and nephews, Nick Gussow, Riley Metheney, Rhett Metheney, Reece Metheney, and Ryder Metheney. Family members and friends may gather from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, Va. A memorial celebration of Michelles life will be held at a later date.
