Michael L. Hale

Michael Lynn Hale, 59, of Salem, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011. He was born in Bedford, a son of the late Carlton L. Hale and Lorene Johnson Hale of Salem, and had been an area resident all of his life. He was employed as a brakeman with Norfolk and Southern Railroad and most recently was employed as a truck driver. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Donald E. Hale and his wife Belinda, and a niece, Morgan Tyler Hale. A memorial service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, December 10, 2011 in the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Everett Kier will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
