Mavis Addielee Goad Grubb, 84, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved reading, walking, and being with family and friends. She was a long time member of First Church of the Brethren and Williamson Road Church of the Brethren in Roanoke, Va.She was preceded in death by her father, William Otey Goad and her mother, Kenova Lena Haynes Goad; her brother, William Otey Goad II; her sisters, Gladys Goad Owen and Frances Broughman.She is survived by her daughters, Darlynn Grubb Cole and husband, Dwayne R. Cole and Susan Grubb Gliniecki and husband, Todd N. Gliniecki; her grandson, Jason S. Gliniecki; her granddaughters, Stacy M. Cole, Samantha Gliniecki Torre and husband, Christopher Torre, Erin A. Cole, and Alexis R. Gliniecki and numerous nephews and nieces.Her family will fondly remember her generous and loving spirit and will miss her greatly.The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at John M.
