Mattie Louise Johnson Crosswhite

Mattie Louise Johnson Crosswhite, 90, of Salem, VA passed away Friday, October 15, 2010. She was born January 10, 1921 in Salem, VA daughter of the late John C. and Nancy Alice Price Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Harry Crosswhite. Mrs. Crosswhite worked for Maid Bess and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Donald Crosswhite; caregivers and special friends, Mark and Kathy Ingvaldsen; and a nephew, Jack Crosswhite. Funeral services will be conducted 10 am Monday, October 18, 2010 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
