Matthew Christian Reilly

On Friday, August 16, 2019, Matthew C. Reilly, loving husband, and father of four children, passed away at age 28. Matthew was born on Saturday, October 27, 1990, in Romania and was adopted by Michael and the late Nancy Reilly, as an infant. Matthew was a plumber. On January 4, 2013, he married Bethany Joy Dodd Reilly. Together, they had 3 beautiful children named Malachi, Elianna, and Isaiah. He also has a son previous to marriage, Tyler Finley. Lastly, his mother, Nancy, passed away when Matthew was ten years old and Beth and Preston Potter stepped in and helped raise Matthew like their own son. Matthew leaves his wife, Bethany Joy Dodd Reilly; four children, Tyler, Malachi, Elianna, and Isaiah; his father and step-mother, Michael Reilly and Csilla Kawori; sister, Samantha Reilly; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at EastLake Community Church, 1118 Hendricks Store Road, Moneta, Va. 24121, in the Chapel with Reverend Ricky St. Clair officiating. Burial will follow at Longwood Cemetery in Bedford, Va. with Rev. Ricky St. Clair, Sean Nix, Kevin Polzer, Aaron Wetherald, John Cockrell, Preston Potter, and his son, Malachi Reilly serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service on Saturday in the Chapel.
