Mary Alice Ayers Zamorski

Mary Alice Ayers Zamorski, 91, of Salem, peacefully went home to Heaven on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. She was a remarkable woman and enjoyed music and bowling in her spare time. Preceding her in death were her parents, Bill and Gertrude Ayers; husband, Al Zamorski; brother, Bill Ayers; sisters, Joyce Wheeling and her husband, Odell, and Judy Overstreet and her husband, Andrew; brother-in-law, Andrew Overstreet; son-in-law, Randy Rhodes; and aunt, Ellie. Her surviving family includes her children, Tony Zamorski and his wife, Kathie, Margaret Rhodes, Kathryn Spencer and her husband, Michael, David Zamorski and his wife, Debby, and Joey Zamorski and his wife, Robyn; siblings, Jane Jenson and her husband, Pete, Jim Ayers and his wife, Sally, Wayne Ayers and his wife, Dorothy, and Gale Ayers and his wife, Marylou; sister-in-law, Nannette Ayers; 11 grandchildren; numerous special great-grandchildren; and special nephew and niece, Bub Jenson and Missy Greer. The family expresses special thanks to South Roanoke Nursing Home for their kindness, care, and special attention. A period of visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A memorial service will then begin at 4 p.m. with the Rev.
