Mary Margaret Warren

WARREN Mary Margaret Mary Margaret Warren, 93, of Salem, VA passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019. She was born December 30, 1925 in Spanishburg, WV a daughter of the late John L. and Nola Anna Archer Goad. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul G. Walker and second husband, Russell O. Warren; daughter, Kathy Gale Warren; and seven siblings, Gay Goad, Athelene Ross, Trixie Honaker, Sam Goad, Gladys Brown, Betty Lynn and Marvis Blankenship. Mary was a member of Haran Baptist Church, Roanoke. She was a wonderful homemaker and was the loving caretaker for her daughter, Kathy for over 28 years. Mary loved flowers and gardening. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Linda Walker; sisters, Reva Akers and June Robinette; grandson, Carey Walker and wife, Teresa; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Walker, Samuel Walker and Gracie Walker; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem with Pastor Don Summerville officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Mary's name to: Haran Baptist Church or a favorite charity of choice. First Visitation
