Mary Maxine Childress Stocki

Mary Maxine Childress Stocki, 82, of Salem, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Maxine was a kind and caring wife, mother, and Mamaw who will be greatly missed. We take comfort in knowing she is at peace and free from her pain. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jan Stocki, Sr.; sons, Jan Stocki II and wife, Sherry, and Peter Stocki and wife, Debbie; two grandsons, Nicholas Stocki and Christopher Stocki and girlfriend, AnneMarie Elliott; two sisters, Peggy Fisher and Wilda Gallimore; great-granddaughter, Haley Stocki; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017, in the funeral homes chapel with Rev. Jim Worline officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
