Mary Elizabeth Lib Shipe, 96, of Salem, Va., passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Libby was a true Southern Genteel Lady who loved to help and uplift everyone she knew. She was an accountant for years, a devoted wife to her Jack, a loving mother, and a true homemaker. She loved reading, being with her family and friends, and traveling with Jack to the beach or wherever. She was also an avid nature lover. She was faithful to her Lord and read daily passages from her Bible and inspirational books. She also enjoyed sharing her early morning talks with the Lord to plan her day. She was a charter member of Eternal Hope Baptist Church in Salem, Va. To know her is to love her fits her to a T. She will be missed!
