Mary M. Shortridge Rose, born May 31, 1939, in Grundy, Va., peacefully fell into the arms of Jesus on March 4, 2026, at the age of 86. Mary was the daughter of the late Glenn and Helen Shortridge from Grundy, Va.

Mary had many wonderful traits, the most profound being her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Mary spent most of her working career in retail management.

Mary is survived by one sister, Alicia Mae Call of Lynchburg, Va.; one daughter, Mary Michelle Rose of Roanoke, Va.; and two sons, Gerald Reed Rose of Newton, N.C., and Robert Keith Rose of West Columbia, S.C.

A small private gathering of immediate family will be held at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
