Mary Jane Raborn

Mary Jane Raborn of Salem, Va., passed away on March 30, 2026, at home. She was the daughter of the late George and Janie Heffinger. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Jake Raborn; sister, Betty Rhodes; brothers, Phillip and Jackie Heffinger; and grandmother, Sally Nesbit. She is survived by a brother, Bobby Heffinger; sisters, Judy Murray, Cindy Murray, Teresa Heffinger, Sheryl Heffinger, and Diane Jones. She leaves behind two daughters, Kim Barnes and Amy Bott, and a son, Michael Raborn, and numerous grandkids and great-grandkids.

Mary Jane had a creative spirit and a giving heart, often crocheting blankets for her loved ones. Above all, Mary Jane’s greatest joy was her family, always placing their needs above her own. She will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the love she had for everyone around her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 19, 2026, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Location will be at the Salem Church of Christ (across from the Salem Ice Cream Parlor).
