Mary Cecile Pingle

Mary W. Pingle, 94, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Born in Ivanhoe, VA, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Pingle; her parents, John and Willie Watts and her four siblings. She is survived by two daughters, Kittie Gillock and Beth Poff, as well as several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her loving chihuahua, Colby. Mary earned her bachelors degree from the University of Miami where she met Ray. She taught home economics at several Roanoke County schools. She was also a seamstress and an excellent cook and baker. She was the vocational evaluator for several years prior to retirement. Visitation will be held at John M.
