Mary E. Blevins

Mary Elizabeth Blevins, 93, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012. She was born in War, WV, a daughter of the late Paul R. King and Carrie Poff King. Mary was a very caring and giving person and was loved by and loved all her family and friends. She was employed at Valleydale Packers for over 36 years before retiring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Henry Clay Blevins, and her daughter, Ruth Herring. She is survived by her son-in-law, Bob Herring of North Carolina, three sisters-in-law, Margaret King, Norma King and Irene King as well as several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2PM, Friday, May 4, 2012 at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM, Thursday, May 3, 2012 at John M.
